NYU Asian Pacific American Institute Hosts HOLD THESE TRUTHS Talkback

Tonight we enjoyed an overflowing full house and NYU’s Asian Pacific American Institute’s HOLD THESE TRUTHS postshow panel, moderated by G.W. (Greg) Kimura, President/CEO of the Japanese American National Museum. I was delighted to join Kathryn Bannai, first lead attorney in Gordon Hirabayashi’s 1980’s court case, activist Suki Ports, and star Joel de la Fuente, in speaking about Gordon’s legacy.

Also, we were thrilled to see so many special friends tonight! Daniel Dae Kim of Hawaii Five-O, Ann Harada of Avenue Q, Greg Watanabe of Golden Child, poet and performance artist Traci Kato-Kiriyama, casting director Meg Simon, Linda Chapman from New York Theatre Workshop, Julie Crosby and Megan Carter from the Women’s Project, playwright Sung Rno, Julie Azum, Tamio Spiegel and Dave Shih.  For lots of great photos, see Lia Chang’s album.
